Because timing matters at any event, I always arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to set up in position, so entertainment starts right on schedule.
What Kinds of Balloon Shapes Can You Make?
Simple shapes include swords, flowers, unicorns, crowns, and Spider-Man, dinosaur, tiger, monkey and many more, while advanced character designs take longer to build. Shapes like Mario, Mickey Mouse, or Stitch fall into that second category, since they involve more detail and more steps. As a result, an hour typically yields around 30 simple shapes, compared to roughly 15 advanced ones.
How Long Should I Book a Balloon Twisting Artist For?
Booking length depends mainly on group size: about 1 hour for up to 10 kids, 1.5 hours for up to 20 kids, and 3 hours for 50 or more kids. In practice, though, a 2-hour minimum tends to work best. That way, there’s enough time to work through the line without rushing, plus room for a few walk-up requests from adults or grandparents who want a balloon too.
How Much Does Balloon Twisting Cost?
The market rate for a professional balloon twisting artist in Atlanta is around $125 per hour. By comparison, my own packages are priced at $170 for 1.5 hours or $320 for 3 hours. Combo packages are also available — a balloon garland plus kids’ character entertainment, or a photo-zone garland plus twisted balloons — where the garland goes up first, and balloon twisting for the kids follows right after. Depending on the time booked, these combos can run under $500 total.
