Difference between the full arch and balloon garland.

Sometimes it’s not easy to choose what kind of balloon decorations will suit the party environment and often people confuse the full structure arch with an organic balloon garland that looks like a half arch. Here are some tips to understand the differences.

Full structure arch:

Full arch requires a structural frame, which uses a heavy base to keep the structure steady on the ground. *We come back to pick up the frame after a party or a few days after. It’s usually made with air-inflated balloons and can be expressed in different patterns. The structure can be used outdoors or indoors. Balloons can last longer indoors. Requires a longer time to assemble ( from 1 to 2 hours). Perfect for racing tournaments and walking under activities. The price of the structure will be based on the size of the structure, the material used, and the assembly time.

Organic Garland:

Organic balloon garland is made with different sizes of balloons and inflated with air (5,12,16,24 inches). It doesn’t require any frame and can be connected to a wall, siding, backdrop, or any other surface. Can be used in outdoor or indoor environments. Balloons can last longer indoors. Placing and hanging garlands can be done in many different ways; by sections or in one long link connected in different patterns. Also looks great with some greenery.

How to measure balloon garland

Balloon organic garland 5 (20ft )

It can be difficult to measure a balloon organic garland. This guide should help to understand how to measure a garland. Or how to get the prettiest garland for the available budget. And most of the time the final decision appears while installing. So, it’s good to know the measurement of the space. Let’s assume, we don’t know the size of the space. But have a picture of the area where the garland should be connected. Sample pic. #1

By looking at that picture, we can assume that the size of the door is about 8-9 feet in height and 6 feet wide. We hope this is a standard-size large double door. Unless we know the actual measurement from some custom size door. The garland should cover a bit more than the actual door. That adds one or one and a half feet in size to make it hang over the door.

Making a garland takes different sizes of balloons inflated with air. There are 5, 11, 16, 24 inches balloons that can be inflated to the appropriate sizes to keep their shapes more rounded. That means an 11-inch balloon doesn’t get inflated all the way to 11 inches, it’s going to be 7-8 or 9 inches to keep the shapes pretty and rounded. But the 24-inch. and 30-inch balloons can get inflated all the way. For the purpose to get the largest size balloons.

Now, we can decide how much garland should be just right to cover space and don’t go over a budget.

The garland can be connected in many different ways. It may cover some of the areas and use only about 14 ft in different sections like in the Sample pic. #2

Or have it cover the whole side and the top using balloons sized 5, 11, and 16 inches. That makes about 20 feet. Sample pic.#3

Or the garland can be even larger in size and expanded with larger balloons or wider areas of many balloons connected together. Sample pic. #4

The garland can be connected in different ways and the cost will be based on the size that will require to cover the space or according to a budget.
